VIS Awards 2026

The VIS Awards is an initiative organised by the Vietnamese Intellectual Society (VIS), aiming to recognise and celebrate individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions in research, innovation, and community engagement. It seeks not only to recognise achievement, but also to inspire continued excellence and engagement within the VIS community. Through this initiative, applicants are given the opportunity to showcase their work, gain formal recognition, and connect with a wider network of academics and professionals.

The VIS Awards comprise two main categories: Outstanding Research & Innovation and Community Engagement. Each category includes two prizes (£250 each): 

  • Early career researcher prize: Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree holders or PhD degree holders within 8 years of graduation
  • All-stage career researchers prize: Open to individuals at any career stage with outstanding contributions to research or innovation; No age or experience restrictions

 

Outstanding Research & Innovation Community Engagement 
  • Outstanding achievements in research and innovation in any scientific discipline. 

How to apply: 

  • A statement of original research 
  • Up to 03 relevant publications or patents
  • 02 letters of support
  • An academic CV
  • A copy of the highest degree achieved so far

  • Excellent contributions to local and/or professional communities (e.g. VIS society)

Eligibility: 

  • Vietnamese, British or Irish nationals with Vietnamese heritage, or other individuals with a strong link to Vietnam
  • VIS membership is NOT required.
  • VIS Executive Board members are not eligible
