Who we are

leading Vietnamese Academic community in the UK

The Vietnamese Intellectual Society (VIS) is a professional volunteer-based society of Vietnamese academics and experts living and working in the United Kingdom (UK) and the Republic of Ireland. Following a long preparation period, VIS UK & Ireland was formally established in December 2020 with the support and recognition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the Vietnamese Embassy in London.

VIS Master-classes

With the support from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and in collaboration with the National Economics University in Hanoi, VIS UK & Ireland announced the official launch of the ‘VIS Mentorship and Talent Development’ Programme (VIS MTD). We aim to help the mentees to improve their skills to succeed in:

  • PhD and scholarship applications;
  • Finding suitable universities and PhD supervisors; and
  • Writing and publishing research articles in world-renowned international journals and book series
