With the support from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and in collaboration with the National Economics University in Hanoi, VIS UK & Ireland announced the official launch of the ‘VIS Mentorship and Talent Development’ Programme (VIS MTD). The programme aims to support, mentor and train the PhD candidates and early career researchers from Vietnam, who wishes to conduct their PhD/research in the UK/Ireland and overseas. We aim to help the mentees to improve their skills to succeed in: i) PhD and scholarship applications; ii) finding suitable universities and PhD supervisors; and iii) writing and publishing research articles in world-renowned international journals and book series
The support will come from the experienced VIS members who are the current academic members of many UK/Ireland universities with a wide range of expertise. The mentorship can be one-to-one, helping the mentees from early stage of application for PhD admission/scholarship, to the support of proposal writing, scientific writing/publication skills. The list of potential mentors can be seen here. VIS MTD mentors are also ready to advise and support the candidates and university from the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training’s Project 89.
