The Vietnam Intellectual Society in the UK and Ireland (VIS) and the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Training (VNUK | The University of Danang) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly deliver activities linked to the Da Nang-VIS London Innovation Hub and to foster cooperation in innovation research and education.

To kick off this new collaboration, VNUK and VIS co-hosted the seminar “Towards Vietnam’s Future: Key Insights on Innovation Capabilities and the Power of Digital Twins.”
The event brought together experts, faculty, and students to explore how innovation capabilities and emerging technologies can shape Vietnam’s future.

Highlights included:
– Dr. Yen Tran (Vice Chair of VIS; Associate Professor, Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University) shares research on innovation capability development and strategies for embracing new technologies.
– Professor Huan X. Nguyen (Chair of VIS; Middlesex University) presents his work on the strategic application of digital twins to address industrial and societal challenges.

This collaboration is a practical step toward enhancing training, research, and international collaboration in Da Nang. By connecting with the global Vietnamese intellectual community, VNUK can support Dang VIS London Innovation Hub and also strengthen its academic activities, applied research, and staff development – contributing to Danang’s vision of innovation-driven growth.
