On 24/10/2022, the British Council and the Vietnam Intellectual Society in the UK and Ireland (VIS) signed a memorandum of understanding in London to collaborate on educational projects between the UK and Vietnam. Specifically, the two organisations will work closely to support professional development of Vietnamese early career researchers using resources from both the British Council and VIS. In the long term, they hope to develop a network of multidisciplinary research groups in the area of UK and Vietnam research priorities.

The key objectives of the programme were to create a platform for sharing the higher education policies and helping participants understand the innovation and impact of higher education sector in the UK and the priorities of Vietnamese higher education agenda. Ultimately, the partnership aims to provide more opportunities in student exchange and research collaboration.
