Sharing Experiences: Grant Applications & Research Publications

On April 26, 2021, the Vietnamese Intellectual Society (VIS) in the UK and Ireland organized the first webinar of Research Skills Workshop Series. This webinar had been attended about 160 peoples around the word, including professor, associate professor, lecturer, PhD and master student. For opening the webinar, Prof. Nguyen TK Thanh – president of VIS UK & Ireland – had introduced the Vietnamese Intellectual Society to the participants. Then, five panellists from world-leading universities had shared their experiences in grant applications and research publications:

  • Prof. Nguyen TK Thanh (University College London): “How to obtain an ECR Fellowship to become a Leader in your field”
  • Dr. Le Minh Hoa (University of Northumbria): “Council funding vs. industrial funding/KTP: an insight from a review panel member”
  • Dr. Nguyen Dang Bang (University of Cambridge): “Research Publications and Funding in Finance and Economics”
  • Dr. Nguyen Tri-Dung (University of Southampton): “Practical tips on grant writing”
  • Prof. Nguyen Xuan Huan (Middlesex University): “Collaboration between Vietnam and the UK”
